Helft Nederlanders voor legalisatie cannabis

Uit een peiling van Maurice de Hond is gebleken dat 50% van alle Nederlanders voor het legaliseren van cannabis is. Vijfentwintig procent van de bevolking zou het kruid het liefst verboden zien.

Aanhangers van Groenlinks zijn de grootste voorstanders van legalisatie (88%), terwijl de helft van de christelijke regeringspartijen CDA en Christenunie softdrugs willen verbieden en coffeeshops het liefst zien verdwijnen.

Opmerkelijk is dat de meeste wietrokers zich onder de SP en PVV stemmers bevinden. De anti-Islam partij van Geert Wilders is fel tegen gebruik (en legalisatie) van cannabis.

De VVD pleit voor strengere straffen voor de export van hasj en wiet en wil dat coffeeshops veranderen in besloten clubs. Met een pasje zouden vaste klanten dan toch wiet kunnen kopen. Daarnaast willen zij de teelt wel reguleren, maar alleen voor de Nederlandse markt. Geschat wordt dat momenteel zo'n 80 procent van de hier gekweekte wiet naar het buitenland gaat.

Deze week debatteert het kabinet over het drugsbeleid. Er is momenteel grote onenigheid binnen de regeringspartijen. Zo willen het CDA en de ChristenUnie het liefst alle cofeeshops sluiten (Joldersma: 'Het CDA zal met oplossingen blijven komen die helpen op weg naar nul coffeeshops), terwijl coalitiepartij PvdA juist wil dat er meer transparantie komt voor coffeeshops, zodat die niet meer via de achterdeur te hoeven inkopen.

I wonder what the advantage of memberships are. The age limit is already very strictly enforced, so it wouldn't make any difference there.
The only thing I can think of is a maximum amount per user per month.
But for this to work it has to be done with a centralised system of a whole city. And that is very costly for such a small group.

that already have done a great deal
of restriction (and this unfortunately

Het probleem is niet dat het verboden is, het probleem is dat er mensen zijn die het verbod op een plant willen handhaven. Er kan maar één reden zijn daarvoor: persoonlijk profijt. En dat geldt zowel voor professionele illegale kweekprojecten als voor door de farmacistische industrie betaalde politici.
